Our store strictly abides by Malaysian consumer protection laws, and clearly stipulates the rules for returns, refunds, order cancellations and after-sales services to protect the legitimate rights and interests of both buyers and sellers.
1. Order Classification Instructions (Core Rules)
Products of ZN-Tangka are divided into two categories:Ready-made Thangka Paintings and Custom Private Thangka Paintings. The refund rules for the two categories are different. Placing an order means the buyer fully agrees to the corresponding rules:
- Ready-made Thangka Paintings: Finished thangka artworks that are completely painted and ready for immediate shipment.
- Custom Private Thangka Paintings: One-on-one hand-painted artworks customized according to buyers’ requirements, including personalized size, theme, color matching, blessing demands and exclusive scriptures, which areunique personalized custom artworks.
2. Refund and Cancellation Rules for Custom Thangka Paintings (Key Provisions)
Custom thangka paintings are exclusive private customized artworks that cannot be resold. In accordance with Malaysian e-commerce compliance rules and cross-border custom commodity transaction standards:
2.1 No Unreasonable Refunds or Order Cancellations
After the buyer confirms the customization requirements and pays the deposit or full payment, our painters will immediately start material selection, sketching and hand-painting creation. Each custom thangka is unique and cannot be resold. Therefore, no refunds will be approved for subjective reasons including personal dislike, size hesitation, changed mind or price concerns.
2.2 Valid Refund Scenarios (Buyer Rights Protection in Compliance with Laws)
Full refunds or free repainting services are only available under the following valid circumstances:
- The finished work seriously deviates from the confirmed customization requirements (wrong theme, wrong Buddha statue type, severe size deviation).
- Obvious painting defects, large-area missing painting or serious quality problems (clear real photos or video proof is required).
- Product damage during transportation (free repainting, reshipment or full refund is optional).
2.3 Deduction Rules for Forced Order Cancellation During Creation (Transparent and Compliant)
- Before painting starts: 70% of the order amount will be refunded (deducting manual docking and material preparation costs).
- Sketching/painting in progress: Only 30%–50% of the order amount will be refunded (determined according to the painting progress).
- Painting completed and pending shipment: No refund is available.
3. Return and Refund Rules for Ready-Made Thangka Paintings (Compliant with Malaysia’s 15-Day After-Sales Standard)
For ready-made products, buyers enjoy legal after-sales rights in Malaysia: after-sales applications can be submitted within 15 calendar days upon order receipt.
Valid Return & Refund Circumstances
- Product damage, cracking, stains or severe damage during transportation.
- The received product is significantly inconsistent with the website description.
- Obvious craftsmanship and quality defects.
Non-Refundable & Non-Returnable Circumstances
- Personal aesthetic dissatisfaction, style dislike or unrealistic expectation deviation.
- Incorrect size estimation by the buyer.
- Slight wear and tear or natural texture differences of hand-painted works during transportation, which do not belong to quality problems.
4. Damage Handling Policy for Malaysian Customers
All thangka paintings are fragile art collectibles. If damage is found upon receipt:
- Take clear photos and videos of the outer package and the damaged product within 24 hours after receiving the parcel.
- Contact customer service to submit valid proof.
- Optional solutions: Free repainting & reshipment / Full refund / Free repair.
Our store bears all quality and transportation risks, with no additional handling fees charged to buyers. In compliance with Malaysian e-commerce regulations, for all valid refund, reshipment and repair applications caused by product quality problems, wrong customization and transportation damage, we shall bear all return and reshipment freight fees, and no freight or service fee will be deducted from the customer’s refund amount.
5. Refund Processing Time (Compliant with Malaysia PDPA & CPA)
- Proof verification by customer service: Completed within 1–2 working days.
- After verification approval: Funds will be returned via the original payment channel within 3–7 working days (subject to the settlement time of PayPal or other payment platforms).
6. Final Non-Refundable Provisions (Anti-Malicious After-Sales)
The following situations are not eligible for refunds, returns or dispute appeals, in line with Malaysian e-commerce anti-fraud and anti-malicious after-sales regulations:
- Products that have been used, hung, stained or artificially damaged by buyers.
- Products disassembled, modified or repaired by buyers without official authorization.
- After-sales applications submitted beyond the 15-day after-sales validity period.
- Unreasonable cancellation or refund application for custom products without quality problems.
- Malicious return or intentional product damage for refund fraud.
